Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (HWK) in Delmenhorst has recently announced its Call for Applications for the years 2024 through 2026, inviting academics and researchers to apply for both Regular and Junior Fellowships.

This month, CAS welcomes Benjamin Schneider, our Young CAS PI leading the project "Work and Wellbeing in History," for a two-month research stay. Schneider, a postdoctoral researcher at OsloMet, brings his expertise in historical social science to delve into the Historical Occupational Quality Index (HOQI) and its implications for understanding the long-term dynamics of work quality and its impact on overall wellbeing.

Francesca Refsum Jensenius, professor at the University of Oslo and one of our Young CAS PIs, embarked on a significant endeavor this month as she conducted her inaugural workshop at CAS. Immersed in the intricacies of democracy in India, Francesca's project, "Democracy's Reach: Political Representation and Elections in India," addresses pressing challenges to democratic governance, aiming to illuminate critical issues and foster collaborative solutions.

The Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) and Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ) have recently concluded an agreement for the Nordic Fellowship Program. The program aims to support scholars in the humanities and social sciences from Swedish research institutions who wish to spend a year at CAS.
