Former project leader at CAS, Helge Jordheim, was recently awarded the ‘Gad Rausings pris för framstående humanistisk forskargärning´ for his innovative and influential research in the field of cultural history. Jordheim's research connects the past, present, and future by exploring how past concepts of nature, time, and politics can contribute to understanding current crises and dilemmas. Publication on ‘Comparative Perspectives in Scottish and Norwegian Legal History, Trade and Seafaring 1200-1800’

Former research fellows at CAS, Jørn Øyrehagen Sunde and Andrew Simpson, have published a new comparative work based on their research during the CAS project 'Social Governance Through Legislation' back in 2021/2022.

Meet Maria Ingrid Teresa Olsson, the Young CAS PI for August 2023 to June 2025! Olsson, an associate professor at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN University), will lead the project 'Towards a New and Culturally Sensitive Understanding of Gender Inequality: Women and Men in Modern (Work) Life.'
