CAS Project Leader Francois Renard Honored as Fellow of the American Geophysical Union

This year, the American Geophysical Union (AGU) has added Francois Renard to its roster of distinguished honorees. Renard, who leads the CAS project 'Friction and Fracture and the Onset of Geohazards (FricFrac)' together with Anders Malthe Sørensen, was recognized for his pivotal contributions to experimental and theoretical geophysics and geochemistry.

Young CAS Projects of January 2024 – December 2025: Pushing Frontiers in Political Science and Environmental Research

It is with great enthusiasm that the Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) unveils the two chosen Young CAS Principal Investigators (PIs) for the upcoming two-year term: Professor Francesca Refsum Jensenius from the University of Oslo, who offers a penetrating analysis of the democratic processes in India, and researcher Gaute Linga from The Njord Centre, University of Oslo, focusing on the intricate process of water infiltration in soils.
