FAQ

Camilla is the director of CAS, and together with the chair of our board, her job is to steer the Centre into the future. She has an overarching vantage point of the Centre's activities and prospects, so if you have any questions regarding that, talk to Camilla. She is also a professor of philosophy at the University of Oslo (UiO).

Maria is the administration's second-in-command, and can point you in the right direction regarding any issue. She oversees the Centre's finances, so if you have questions regarding funding opportunities at CAS, the project's budget, or reimbursement for travels and other exspenses, Maria is the one to ask.

Rune oversees the application process for the CAS Research Grant. When applications have been accepted, Rune oversees the planning process together with Maria and Kristin. While at CAS, he’s your go-to-guy for library inquiries, and for IT and large office equipments. You can also ask Rune for IT help when Dag Christian is not around.

Elmar is responsible for the technical aspects of the website. If you got any issues with your user or functions, please contact her. You can also ask Elmar for IT help when Dag Christian is not around. In addition, Elmar is coordinatior of the CAT programme and helps Maria out with finances.

Julie Ellinor is currently on leave. Helene is her substitute.

Helene oversees the application process for the Young CAS Grant. She is also our communications adviser and will follow up with all PIs and fellows regarding news and results for your research that may be shared on our website and/or social media. She will be very happy to receive tips!

Kristin supervises the day-to-day operations at the Centre, and makes sure everything is running smoothly. Her tasks include accommodations, lunches, arrivals and departures, and office supplies. If you have any questions regarding your move to or stay in Oslo, Kristin is the one to ask.

Tilla oversees all events organised by CAS and the projects; be it a small seminar or a large conference. She can help out with everything relevant for events.

Dag Christian works for USIT, which is the IT department at the University of Oslo (UiO). We are very lucky to have him at our Centre every Tuesday and Friday. Dag Christian can help you with your IT issues, and help you get connected to our network, printers, and AV equipment. When he’s not at CAS, you can always reach him by email.
