"An engaging love letter to ethnography"

In The Times Literary Supplement CAS group leader Professor Marianne Lien's book Becoming Salmon, Aquaculture and the domestication of a fish is described as «...a masterly ethnographic study of mankind’s relationship with farmed fish».

Barbara J. King writes that the book explores the mutual relationship between salmon and the people who raise them, and serves as a ‘love letter’ to ethnography: “…which illuminates the ways in which such works can expand the boundaries of how we think about vexing issues of science and society.”
