CAS fellow Leandro Arosio will give the talk Dynamics of transcendental Hénon maps. Arosio is part of the CAS research project Several Complex Variables and Complex Dynamics.

Abstract

Polynomial Hénon maps are the dynamically relevant polynomial automorphisms of C^2.  In this talk we introduce a family of transcendental automorphisms of C^2 and we give examples of Fatou components with interesting dynamical behaviour, such as Baker domains and wandering domains.
