The CAS project After Discourse: Things, Archaeology, and Heritage in the 21st Century has invited Levi Bryant from Collin College, Texas, to give a lecture at Litteraturhuset in Oslo.

About the speaker

Levi Bryant is professor and discipline Lead for the Department of Philosophy at Collin College, Texas, and Chair of the Critical Philosophy program at the New Centre for Research and Practice. 

Bryant is the author of several books, including Difference and Givenness: Deleuze’s Transcendental Empiricism and the Ontology of Immanence, The Democracy of Objects, Onto-Cartogrpahy:  An Ontology of Machines and Media, and co-editor of The Speculative Turn with Nick Srnicek and Graham Harman. He has also published a number of articles on Deleuze, Badiou, Zizek, Lacan, and political theory, ecology, and aesthetic theory.

His much read blog, Larval Subjects, is of interest to anyone interested in Object Oriented Ontology and the object turn.
