Disadvantaged students who beat the odds: Toward a new generation of research in academic resilience

This Young CAS-workshop delves into students' data from computer log files in the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). We explore how students in Grades 5 and 9 approach complex mathematics and science tasks. Our goal is to understand their persistence and problem-solving strategies, offering insights into task persistence and the academic resilience that these students demonstrate to overcome challenges.
