Through this dialogue, we will explore questions related to gender equality, technology, and society, and identify new challenges in a world marked by rising globalization, efficiency, and digitization. The event is a collaboration between the Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) and the University of Agder (UiA), and will take place in the UiA tent during Arendalsuka.

The panel consists of:

• Marit Haldar: Professor of Sociology at OsloMET, and head of the Centre for Digitalization of Public Services and Social Citizenship (CEDIC). She also leads the interdisciplinary research group Welfare Access Through Technology (WATT).

• Maria Ingrid Teresa Olsson: Associate Professor in Social Psychology at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (HINN) and newly elected Young CAS Project Leader. Her project, "Towards a New and Culturally Sensitive Understanding of Gender Inequality: Women and Men in Modern (Work) Life," aims to identify and address shortcomings in existing gender equality indexes. Olsson also leads the research group OASIS – Organization, Work, and Social Psychology in Society.

• Sunniva Whittaker: Rector at the University of Agder. As the rector, ensuring favorable research conditions for both research groups and individual researchers is a highly prioritized task.

• Camilla Serck-Hanssen: Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oslo and director of the Centre for Advanced Study (CAS). CAS' mission is to strengthen and showcase basic research by inviting prominent researchers from both domestic and international spheres for year-long residencies at the center.

• Leonora Onarheim Bergsjø: Associate Professor II at the University of Agder, with research experience in technology, ethics, and society.

The conversation will be moderated by Umar Ashraf, author of the book "Hvit PR - why succeeding with multicultural communication matters." Ashraf works as a communication advisor for Sannum & Bergestuen.
