Abstract
“Energy Transition” aims to understand the complex dynamics of the energy transition, focusing on its far-reaching effects across sectors, firms, and households in resource rich economies. Specifically, it seeks to advance both theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence to clarify how the resource boom has shaped the aggregate macroeconomy and to what extend it has had heterogenous effects across industries and income groups. By capturing the nuanced interactions between firms and households, it will examine the energy transition’s role in reshaping economic structures, and the role of policy in smoothing the transitions. The analysis will be novel in methodology and scope, exemplified with studies on resource-rich economies like Australia and Norway.
